Description: Bramall built a varied development of 20 new homes for rent and eight for shared ownership, including a 2-bedroom bungalow with wheelchair access, six 2-bedroom apartments, eleven 2-bedroom houses and four 3-bedroom, 3-storey houses. The homes were all built to the Housing Corporation's SDS standards, achieving 'secured by design' status and 'very good' EcoHomes rating. Each property is fitted with a carbon monoxide detector, A-rated boilers and appliances, rotary driers and water butts. During development a number of issues had to be resolved, including road closures; site contamination; lack of a gas supply; a water main crossing and planning personnel changes. Regular team meetings and a 'can do' approach ensured the development was delivered on budget and ahead of time.
