Social housing contractor Bramall Construction provided an afternoon of pie, peas and bingo for elderly residents in the area around Bevan Crescent, Maltby earlier this week.
The event was organised by Bramall Construction's liaison team, 2010 Rotherham Ltd and regular bingo players at Bevan Crescent Community Centre. A lunch, cooked by Bramall and 2010 staff, of pie and peas was followed by the weekly Tuesday afternoon bingo and a raffle, which Bramall also donated prizes to. The site team even joined in for a game of bingo afterwards!
Madge Foulds, 86, who helped to organise the afternoon and regularly calls the bingo at the community centre, has recently had refurbishment works including a new kitchen, full re-wire and central heating carried out to her home.
Madge says: 'I could not be happier with the work I have had done, my home looks beautiful and I would like to thank the team at Bramall and 2010 who have been very supportive and attentive. They have brought a lot of smiling faces to the people at the community centre today.'
2010 Rotherham are currently working in partnership with Bramall Construction to bring Rotherham's social housing up to Decent Homes standards by 2010.
