Leading community regeneration specialist Bramall Construction North West is basking in success after scooping a "Developing Women in the industry" award.
The Salford-based company, which forms part of the Keepmoat group,
was presented the award at this year's Women in Construction
Awards for consistently recruiting high numbers of women into the
construction industry.

During the glitzy awards ceremony, Bramall's Quality and
Performance Manager Fiona Gateley was also shortlisted for a
'Personal Achievement in the Construction Industry'
award.
The annual awards ceremony took place at the Palace Hotel,
Manchester to honour women's achievements in a traditionally
male-dominated industry.
Bramall, (a Keepmoat company), decided to enter the awards to showcase its best female talent and encourage more women to break the mould and enter a largely male-dominated industry.
Bramall Construction's Managing Director, Dave Prescott, said: "We are delighted to win the 'Developing Women in the industry' award as it recognises our efforts when it comes to encouraging women to not only enter the construction industry , but develop skills to enable them to climb the career ladder'
"Our positive approach is really paying dividends, as our
female recruitment figures are well ahead of the industry average.
We're also very proud of Fiona Gateley for being shortlisted in
the 'Personal Achievement in the Construction Industry'
award category.
"We're continuously looking for more female role models to enter the construction industry like Fiona, and as a company, we pride ourselves on taking on high numbers of female employees and apprentices.
"We are delighted to win a 'Developing Women in the
Industry' award as we feel the diverse make up of our workforce
creates a balanced and healthy environment to work.
"It comes after Bramall Construction appeared in the
Times' 'Where women Want to Work' league, proving that
as a company we support women onto the career ladder and offer them
a number of exciting career opportunities."
Fiona proved successful at this year's Women in Construction
awards due to her diligence and strong work ethic.
As an example Fiona played an important role in improving the service delivery of our Strategic Partnership for South Lakes Housing which began in 2005 to bring 3,400 properties up to the Government's Decent Homes standard. Her involvement saw a progressive improvement over a 4 year period, with latter results exceeding all the performance targets previously set.
Bramall also proved successful in the 'Developing Women in the
Industry' category for recruiting women into a variety of
'frontline roles' roles ranging from plumbing to plastering
and tiling.
The company's apprenticeship scheme allows young women to
take their first steps on the construction career ladder and as a
result.
